Okay, there has been much discussion and emails about the $8/2 Covergirl coupon that came out in the PG 10/2/11… So I want to address it.
First off, anybody that knows me or that has attended one of our 177 coupon classes knows 3 things about me. (1) I am 100% against using coupons unethically, (2) I don’t agree with Shelf clearers and (3) I don’t agree with bending the rules……..All that being said…and I will probably receive some backlash for this, however it is the way I feel.. I try to avoid controversy on the website, but I do think I need to address this..
Is Covergirl eye shadow a face product???
Before using a coupon.. I always read the fine print….
(1) Does it exclude Eye Shadow on the coupon? No, it does not. There is no mention of Eye shadow being excluded on this coupon. (If they ever put this coupon out again, you can almost bet it will have exclusions)
(2) Are my Eyes a part of my face? I sure hope so..LOL!
(3) Does everybody have access to a computer to look up the CoverGirl website, to see what “CoverGirl” Considers a face product? No, and even if they did.. Why should we have to look up a coupon? Exclusions & inclusions should be on the coupon.
(4) Can everybody have a different interpretation of what a Face Product is? Of Course, That is why Exclusions & Inclusions should be on the coupon.
So, in my personal opinion.. I believe it is fine & perfectly ethical to use this coupon on eye shadow. I personally, will not have any problem using it on any cosmetic that I use on my face. I think this is no different from using the $1/1 any Cascade on the trial size. Was it intended for the trial size…probably not.. Did they exclude it.. No.
I have no issues using this coupon. I hope you understand that this is my opinion. You are welcome to disagree with me. If you do.. The blush is another option for you. I hope you have no hard feelings towards me about this:) I still love you all:)
