We have all been there!!! Worst Mom of the Year!! Maybe not the year, but at least the day:) Now, I don’t mean it literally, but I know we have all felt like this a time or two. Have you forgot a snack, a big day, forgot to play tooth fairy, an important date?? As a mom, most of us have 40 million things running through our minds at any given time. We are usually juggling 5 different balls!
Today, I felt like the Worst mom!! In the past 5 years, between my husband and I, we have not missed a field trip. Two of my girls had field trips today. Number one, I couldn’t be in two places at once, Number two, I had to work, so I decided it was best to sit this one out. The worst part was telling a sweet 5-year-old, that momma couldn’t make it to the pumpkin patch today:( Now, I will be at the school with both girls all day on Friday for a fun event, but because I could not be there today…I felt like scum:( I drew a little heart on their hands so they would know I am always with them. I hope they understand:)
Don’t you think sometimes we should give ourselves a break?!? We are MOMS. Sometimes we won’t be perfect, sometimes, we make mistakes, sometimes we can’t be everywhere for everybody. It doesn’t make us bad moms! We just have to do the best we can! Don’t dwell on mistakes! Give your babies plenty of hugs & kisses. Read them lots of books. Share lots of laughs. I am sure our kids will forgive us when we fall short!
