Last week, (I think) you posted about a new coupon clipping service that you tried. What was that website? or another one that you recommend for coupon inserts? I was busy this morning, and didn’t make my usual 8:00 run to the store to get the Huntsville paper, and now everywhere around here is sold out

Hi, I see on your Fred’s list that you have coupons that are worth more than the product. Their coupon policy says that the value can’t exceed the price. How do you get around that? Thanks
They will probably put the coupon in at a lower amount. I have had coupons exceed the price of an item, but honestly, I cannot remember what happened;)

I attended your class at Florence Opthamology and you had mentioned a clipping service or something that had a lot more coupons that had recently changed their name. Could you let me know that info? Also I am bummed to find out that Times daily had no coupons in it today and heard that soon there will be none since decatur bought them out. What can I do to get coupons? Thanks!
In Florence, you will not ever get the Smart Source. The Times Daily stopped putting them in it. Always go with the Birmingham paper. Several gas stations & bookstores carry them. You can also go to these places to order them. Insert Insanity ( Sells out very quickly) You can also get them from coupon dede (she is more expensive and doesn’t have them available until wed or thursday, but you can usually get them) another place would be Whole Coupon Inserts. Hope this helps! I NEVER suggest getting the Times Daily. Pay the extra 50¢ and find a B’ham:)
The Sunday Decatur Daily also has the coupons.
Florence is no longer carrying the B’ham news at this time. Talked with the people at Books-A-Million and was told they stopped delivery due to gas prices. Right now they are trying to find new person to deliver but has to go through contracts, etc. Very bummed. Any suggestions on where to go now? I know you mentioned coupon wizard once but I could never figure out how to order. Thanks for your help.
When did they stop? I was able to buy one last Sunday at a gas station in Florence, Is it just Books-A-Million? I am going to repost all the places to get inserts on the website later today.
We went every where yesterday and there were no B’ham news anywhere. I’m assuming they stopped yesterday–I have the paper from week before too but I picked up in Muscle Shoals as I was heading out of town. The paper is always hard to find–some days it sells out by 9:00am. I would imagine they would want to increase circulation–not stop. Thanks for reposting.
Go HERE & see a few places to order. Coupon Dede, is probably going to be your best bet, but Sundays coupons won’t post until wed or thurs.
They did not stop carrying them. The lady had them at walmart due to theft. However, there is now a sign on the boxes stating where you can purchase them inside the store. You have to have cash to buy them though. Also, Books-A-Million has them but sells out quickly (they open at 10). The same is true for Coldwater Books in Tuscumbia (they open at 1)
I have heard of a new coupon policy for publix? Do you know what it is?
Goes into effect MAy 23rd, but they have not released the details yet.

I have a question…Since Walmart has the guaranteed price matching…would I be able to take a Krogers circular in there to get those great deals even though there is no Kroger in my state?? Do they match ALL store ads? Like if not Kroger could I take just an alternative grovery store ad and ask them to honor the prices? And do they have the option to decline my request?And do they have to be current adds??

The way I understand it, is they will only price-match stores in your area. Print the Price-Match Policy HERE before you go. You don’t even have to take the ads in now.
I just wanted to say thanks for the class at caddo cafeteria. I just went on my first coupon shopping trip to publix and I was so excited. My bill was $91.00 and all I spent only around $11.00. whoooo hooooo! Thanks for teaching me something. Now i’m hooked.

what all kinds of stuff can be frozen? i have the q’s to get some butter and cheese – but i wouldn’t use it all before it has a chance to spoil. can they be frozen? what other kinds of things can be frozen and still taste good when thawed? thanks.
I have frozen butter and cheese before and to me it tastes just fine after it thawed. I have also frozen milk and bread. Just shake the milk up well after it thaws completely and it is fine and most of the time the bread is just as fresh.

Ive been couponing my whole life, but was never reaching my potential. I was never really saving much. A couple of months ago I decided to get serious. Those 2 and 3 hundred dollar grocery bills at Walmart werent cutting it esp considering the other personal issues that arise within each family…I discovered my family isnt immune to those things either. I had an issue at target today. I purchased two degree deoderants, and tried to use a bogo free coupon along with a .75 off coupon. The cashier told me I could only use one coupon. I didn’t think that was right. Have you had this problem before?
I have ran into that before. And honestly, there is nothing you can do. I usually use those at CVS or Wags.

Shannon, it depends on where you shop. If you are at CVS or Walgreens, that would mean both items are free.
I got two timesdaily papers sunday and not one coupon booklet in either one of them. what is up with that?
I am not sure what happened to the PG & RP but the Times Daily no longer gets the Smart Source

I too bought two papers this week with missing coupon booklets. Someone stole the adds. I looked through several of the papers (in this particular container) and none of them had all the adds. I went across the street to another store who sells the papers inside and those papers contained all the booklets. Beware of ppl stealing the coupon booklets out if it is somewhere that isn’t watched or the paper is delivered before the place opens.
The Decatur Daily has started carrying the Smart Source Insert again and I thought the Times Daily owned them. This past Sunday 6/5/11 I got Red Plum, P&G and Smart Source in the Decatur Daily which is wonderful because now I don’t have to hunt down a Birmingham news!

Thank you so much for your website. I’m fairly new to using coupons and have been trying to do the “work”. This site has been the most helpful out of many, many hours of looking through sites. I live in a rural area without a Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid or Winn Dixie. However, we do have Walmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar and Fred’s. I bought trash bags and got the $1.00 coups yesterday and today I bought Reach, Scotch Brite and Degree. It’s amazing that my husband and I are spending less, but now we are also giving some items away. You have blessed me and our local food kitchen! How do I find out about your workshops?

Yes Cvs & Walgreens are both TRUE BOGO & you can use a BOGO Q to get both FREE or (2) Q’s if they are $$/1. The only one that changed that policy is Rite Aid:(

So where can get a copy of Kroger’s coupon policy? I looked at Kroger.com and didn’t see it. Do they double coupons up to 50 cents, except for the electronic ones…I read that one.
I’m not good at sharing websites. However I was just doing a search, trying to find someone like you but that has coupon deals for Indiana. At this point I follow you and other places (you being my favorite) and then put everything together for myself since our ads are so different. Right now I don’t know of any place that has KC Masterpiece on sale but this is a coupon for 2.00 off pork ribs with a KC Masterpiece purchase, there was a KC Masterpiece coupon in my (SS 5-15-11) for 1.00 off. the fred’s in athens, and ardmore, al aren’t doing the double coupon saturdays anymore, what one are you using that does? or do you know of any close to athens that do the double couponing??? i love freds just disappointed to learn ours stopped doing it
I called and talked to the assistant manager of the store I got to. Its Freds in Huntsville on Wall Triana. She had not heard anything about it. I went to the Freds Website & they are still advertising for it?! I am going to post on the Facebook page & see what kind of an answer I get.
I just attended a class last night. I’m trying to print some coupons from the web, but can’t figure for the life of me how to get this to work. It looks like it’s done…and it says that it’s installed, but then nothing prints off. I go back to tell it to print again & it goes all the way through the installation process again. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? I’m not too computer saavy.

What browser are you using? I use Google Chrome and it seems to work really well printing coupons and such.. I too am not to great when it comes to stuff like this… I always holler at my 15 year old to figure it out, LOL!

Google Chrome is free to download. I would try it. It also seems to be much faster than other browsers.

I’m a member of them, I saw it as well . If you are talking about the printable coupons section, it’s not a knockoff, it’s a widget from coupons.com that they allow you to use on your site. i have the same thing on my blog. hope this helps

The Wal-Mart in Muscle Shoals said that they will price match Publix and accept $/$ store coupons (if they have any). Does Publix have store coupons? Were can I go to find their ads?
Courtney, You can find the ad right here:) You dont have to have the actual ad in hand to price match. (I talked to 2 store managers in Muscle Shoals a couple weeks ago) Publix occasionally puts those coupons out in the newspaper. (Not in Times Daily, but probably will when the store opens in Florence)

I do have a question.. What is the policy about how WalMart matches CVS prices? I guess I am curious about the Extracare Bucks. Does WalMart match the price after the ExtraCare Bucks or before the ECB? Thanks. I am hoping one day I will get this couponing down pat.
Most will price match the price before ECB’s. I have had a few tell me that the stores they shop at will price match after ECB’s, but that is not the rule.

And it has my name at the bottom. I contacted thm last week because i has a problem with one of their battery powered toothbrushs i had bought and the nice lady apoligized and said she would send me a coupon to replae the toothbrush.
If it has a long expiration, I would hang on to it until CVS runs a sale on them. They usually run a sale with extra care bucks every couple of months. I can’t think of anywhere to get overage, if “Power Toothbrush” is considered a rechargeable toothbrush. Walmarts cheapest is about $12.98. and Target has them a few cents more than that.

When the coupons are reset each month does this mean you are allowed to print more coupons even if you printed 2 of the exact same item in the last month and you see the same item again? Thanks..love your site.
Yes:) It won’t let you print them when you have printed your limit. Sometimes they reset more than once a month.
At Rite Aid, can you stack a $ off with a BOGO like you can at walmart?
Not at Rite Aid anymore:( You can stack a manufacturer BOGO with a rite aid coupon though:)
I don’t know if this is already on your website or not, but I was just reading Wal-Mart coupon policy. It states that “If the coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase.” I did not know this. However, I will be printing off the coupon policy to take with me.
They changed the policy about 2 or 3 months ago:) That is why we are so HAPPY about Walmart now!! They are also price matching BOGO deals now! Just waiting on Double coupons! If you notice on the Walmart matchups, I am including overage deals at the top:)
I notice you said something about doing surveys. Don’t you find them repetitive? Also, isn’t your phone bombarded with those pins and then later people calling with offers? What is your secret? I have been doing some surveys this week and so far just dealt with one, Panda Research. I am anxious to see if they actually pay up or if there is some kind of “catch”. Thanks for your help on this. Patricia, I used to do them all the time…Back when I had time too, LOL! You wont get rich doing them & some of them are better than others. I give them my mother in laws phone number, LOL!! Not really! There’s not really a catch. I don’t do anything that asked for my credit card number though.

I made my first shopping trip today since I decided to start using coupons seriously. I saved around $28.00 dollars in all today from 3 different stores. I am trying to build up the coupons that I have so I will be able to use more. I found that the Tuscumbia Foodland did not have Tennessee Pride sausage on sale or the Pop secret popcorn. I am pleased with my progress so far but I would really like to get using these coupons do pat.
Great trips! Just about every foodland has a different ad. I chose to do the Bruce’s Foodland ad, because he is doubling coupons up to $1 on Wednesdays.
A friend of mine and I are really interested in attending the coupon class, but we were unable to go last night to the Kids to Love Fundraiser. Will you be holding another one soon in this area? I went to Muscle Shoals Walmart and tried to price match Publix. They said I had to have the add. Any ideas on how to get ahold of the add when you are not near a Publix? Will they mail them?
They won’t mail them. Last week, I called twice & left messages for the main store manager to call back and he never did. Per corporate policy you do not have to have the ad, but they are not following that policy. My advice is go to the Florence Walmart. Maybe if that lose enough business to Florence, they will rethink.

I would like to know what kind of printer you would suggest? I currently am using a inkjet and the ink is expensive and I seem to need a new one after two weeks. I don’t print alot of coupons because of this. I hear people talking about laser printers but I was wondering if any were better than another or if they are pretty much the same.
I have an ink jet, & I get all my ink very cheap from one of the places found HERE. My Husband has a laser printer, Black ink only. He refills his cartridge at home and its pretty cheap too, however, he has to buy a new drum every few months & they are REAL Expensive. I think you can get them without the drum, maybe??

Hi, I was just looking at the add for Publix that starts tomorrow. I have that coupon for 5/2 Heinz products but mine says Target on it. My Publix accepts Target as a competitor so I can still use it. I get the Birmingham News is the coupon a store coupon for target that they put in the insert or is it a manufacturer coupon?
Does it have a long number on the bar code that starts with 9? (something similar to 9015-7581-8547-2478-14, not these numbers, just that form) if so it is a Target Store coupon so yes it could be used with a manufacturer coupon)

I have been ordering coupons from ebay and it seems to be better for me! The coupons generally come in sets of 20 are generally around $1/2.00. Also, a great deal this week @ Save-a-lot!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oscar Meyer weiners are $1.00 per pack and there is a coupon for $1.00 of any 2 packs of Oscar Meyer weiners or bologna. This makes them $0.50 each

No:( You actually wouldn’t be able to do that anywhere, unless you had store coupons too. Some stores will allow you to use a BOGO coupon with (1) more manufacturer coupon, but those are getting far & few between:( The only stores i can think of right now are CVS & Publix.
Just wanted to let you know that I found Mio Water Enhancer on the clearance rack at Kmart in Muscle Shoals for $1.04. It was The Strawberry Watermelon favor. So if anyone is close they need to use their $1 off coupon and go grab it before its gone
This week Walgreens has a coupon in their October booklet for $50 off The One Touch Verio, will I be able to use my $45 manufacturer coupon with this coupon and get the overage toward other items
Technically, you should, However, I doubt they will let that much fly. They don’t typically allow overage. Sometimes, the cashier will let a little bit slide.
The Breyers facebook page has a coupon for .75 off of one right now that will stack nicely with the target one for the deal at Publix this week.

I want to know where would be a good place to order my inserts. But I guess my question is, ok like this coming Sunday is there a way to order the inserts and they are delivered to you by Sunday. Me and three of my friends really didn’t know how to get more coupons. I hate to buy the Sunday paper because its so hard to get one with everything inside of it or even get a paper. I hope this is not a stupid question but I really don’t know still learning.
